Through blogs, the ability to publish documents on the Internet has evolved from a privilege of a few (universities and research centers) to the right of all (bloggers, in fact).

- Multiblogging - is the ability to manage multiple blogs with just a script, often multi-user support.
- Blognovel or blogs or blog fiction novel - a novel or short story divided into tranches that develops on a blog and is then directed to an audience. Most often the comments of other bloggers or visitors may be useful information for the author in the development of history.
- Lit-Blog or literary blog - This is a blog, personal or corporate, in which articles are published literary nature (reviews, short essays and poetry, interviews, etc.)..
- Educational blog - blog type used in school settings and university as a tool for online learning, sharing of learning content, communication between the teacher and students.
